Item tracking in SalesRender is highly flexible — it easily rivals specialized inventory tools.

In SalesRender, you can create full item cards in the CRM:

  • Add multiple photos
  • Write item descriptions
  • Set fixed prices and price ranges (for discount flexibility)
  • Specify units of measure and item dimensions
  • Attach files like certificates or registration documents
  • Assign items to categories, building a full item catalog

This allows your team to confidently answer any client questions, quickly locate supporting documents, and prove item quality with ease.

What’s an Item and What Are Variations?

An item is the main product you sell — for example, "Peony Plant".

A variation is a version of that item, such as by color — "White Peony Plant" or "Pink Peony Plant".
You can set variations by size, color, or anything else relevant.

📦 The CRM tracks stock per variation and also shows a total balance for the entire item.

Click the ➕ icon in the left column to expand and view all item variations, with images, names, weights, and barcodes.

Bonus Feature: Item Recommendations

You can add recommended items to each item.
These appear in the order card and help operators offer smart cross-sells.

What Are Item Categories?

Every item must belong to a category.

A category is the type of item — for example:

  • "T-shirt" → Clothing
  • "Vitamins" → Supplements
  • "Peony plants" → Garden & Outdoors

Categories can be nested.
Example: “Garden & Outdoors” → “Garden Tools”
